Black History Month

Did You Know? Series

This is a collection of short biographies that I wrote for Black History Month and shared with faculty and staff at DePaul University School for New Learning as part of an annual series during my service on its Africa Diaspora committee from 2014-2016. Contributors volunteered to take a week and publish daily pieces about subjects of our choice. Mine represent my varied interests in Black culture and history.

Writing News Blog

This is a collection of select blogs that I wrote for the SNL Writing News blog while I was a member of the resident faculty at DePaul University's School for New Learning. The blogs were created to support faculty in teaching writing in the disciplines to students in the interdisciplinary college. As a member of the writing program, I regularly contributed to the blog. I selected topics that were important to me as they helped to exemplify and evolve my teaching philosophy and practice. You can view them "live" by clicking the links in the headers of the document.
